Anticipating rapid development around the new airport, “airport city & aerotropolis” concept and vision will be implemented to integrate the airport with relevant and compatible city programs such as industry, logistic, commerce, residence, and other airport related programs to make a self sufficient and sustainable airport. The very high profile of airport city will be the first complete airport city and aerotropolis project in Indonesia. Envisioned to be the integrated new town and accommodating not only airport related program needs but also creating a new place for live-work-play in the West South of Yogyakarta, this airport city will improve and enhanced the level of service of Angkasa Pura 1 in the Central Region of Indonesia and will definitely raise the profile of the city itself.
